ABOUT US
Our Hawaiian Roots
I was born and raised in Hawaii, long enough ago to be able to display, elsewhere on this site, photos taken of my home after it was destroyed by tidal wave April 1, 1946. Did that incident create an appreciation for images of the breathtaking beauty of the islands? Who knows? But it is safe to say that the vibrant colors, stunning landscapes, and unique culture of Hawaii are reflected in the design and functionality of RamaScreensaver which has been inspired by the need to slow down , even pause, from time to time to enjoy the gifts we have been given by a loving Creator. We believe that every image, like every moment in Hawaii, is worth savoring. And the savoring is worth sharing…
At RamaScreensaver, we’re committed to providing a user-friendly and customizable screensaver program that allows you to enjoy your collection of photos in a new, unhurried and useful way. We’re constantly working to improve and expand our features, ensuring that your journey through your favorite moments is always a delightful experience. With Rama Screensaver, your memories are always just a glance away.
All of us appreciate the power of a photo to capture a moment, a memory, a beautiful scene. Our love for images, especially those of our friends, family, and the places we have visited, did not have anything to do with the creation of RamaScreenSaver, and this, its website. RamaScreensaver exists for one reason, and one reason only. To take a PAUSE, to stop the image from blowing away like those red balloons up there in the header. When you next think, or say out loud, or yell “Wait! Wait!!, remember RamaScreenSaver. RamaScreenSaver was designed just for that – Getting the screensaver to freeze rather than just disappearing like a regular commonplace screensaver would have it happen With one tap of the keyboard, RamaScreenSaver pauses, allowing the user as much time as needed to enjoy the current picture, or back up to one that blew by too quickly. In this fast moving, ever-changing world it is a is rare indeed for anything to stop
I want to stress that Rama can’t hear you, no matter how loud you yell. We could do that , and maybe we will in another version, if enough people think it is a good idea (comments, please). But that one tap will buy you a chance to slow down and even back up if needed. It was my vision is to create a platform where people’s cherished images could be enjoyed and appreciated every day, not just stored away (read “lost”) in digital folders.
